Hello,,this isn't a narrative & is instead a poem but I hope that's ok!!
It started as a gentle wink,
Conceived at first to be fantasy.
A lonely heart,
Creating a lonely mind,
Creating a twisted sort of company.
But then again -
Eyes shift.
Lips twitch.
Hands rearrange.
Brush strokes
And paint smears
Suddenly
Awaken - breathing.
Canvas skin and
Watercolor blood.
And a lonely heart,
Creating a lonely mind,
Creates itself a purpose.
The sound of ripping paper,
The squelch of paint,
Freshly squeezed from a tube.
No longer a still life,
But an animation.
A blur of motion.
And out she steps from the gilded frame,
And I am
Terrified.
