I've missed having a writing shop on dv, so: hello, darkness, my old friend. I'm here to write for you again.
For the time being, I'm not actually doing "shop" work: no currency exchange, not actively looking for commissions or anything like that. But I'm always interested in fun prompts, or talking about writing, or even making/receiving recommendations for things worth reading, etc., all that good stuff.
(If you are looking for a commission, you can message me and we can talk about it, but honestly I'm going to be busy as all hell this month what with different things going on).
CURRENT INTEREST:
I have a performance poetry gig coming up this Wednesday (booyah [witch cackle]) and since it's a twenty minute set, I've got space to bring new shit and I'd like to, but I'm sighing about on actually writing any, so: I am seeking prompts for poems, probably haiku but maybe general freeform if I'm feeling it.
If you have prompts to offer, please do! If there's something where you're like, "Hey it would be cool if you wrote [idea]," I would love to hear about that.
Thank you. Peace out.

Hey, everyone! Just wanted to say a little thing before I return to the home of my people, the elflands.
It's been fun. Getting to write the Haunted House was so great and I had so much fun with that; it was a real delight and I'm so glad I got the chance, and that everyone more or less had a nice time playing that game too. Shoutout to Steex and C_mom, who will always be my two best ghosts. You put on such a terrific show! I couldn't have asked for a better team for my first mafia game ever written.
I also wanted to extend a particular thank you to Merc, who, I think you all know, is a gift that none of us will probably ever deserve but should still strive to be worthy of anyway. The life and ingenuity they've brought to this group and later this forum is something I've been impressed by since the first ever game, and their Factory 91 game--my first ever, and most likely my last--is always going to stick in my mind. I loved being CAP. (I loved being the CAP you created, specifically). Bless you, Merc, for making that game everything it was. You've changed the landscape of how we think of and play Mafia, I feel, and very much for the better.
I'd also like to thank Teru, because without you bringing mafia to dv, I would never have met this lovely group and had the fun that I have these last six months or however long it's been. You did a great thing and a big service to everyone.
I'll likely be back on dv when it's alive again, if it's alive again, so if you want to find me there later, it'll be under the name Samson, on account of that being my name. You'll find me on the writing board.
Take care and keep having a good time.
